UPDATE: Drake Maverick has confirmed that the Superstar returning on tonight’s episode of 205 Live is Buddy Murphy.
When you’re watching WWE programming, anything can happen, so you never know who might show up on Raw, SmackDown Live, NXT or 205 Live. General Manager Drake Maverick recently took to Twitter to hype up tonight’s show, and according to him he will be providing updates on a match he’s set to sign later today, as well as the return of a WWE Superstar.
At this point it’s not known who will be returning, but it’s worth noting that when Noam Dar suffered an injury back in December, it was estimated that he would be out of action for 5 months.
In the summer of 2016, Summer Rae was drafted to Raw, but fans didn’t get the chance to see Rae in the ring on the red brand as she was sidelined due to injuries.
Summer Rae was released after she was inactive for over a year last fall, along with several other Superstars including Darren Young, James Ellsworth, and Emma.
Since her release she’s been focusing on her modeling career, but it looks like Summer Rae will be returning to the world of professional wrestling soon, as she’s being advertised for the Battle Championship Wrestling event on May 25th.
