Fans have seen many WWE Superstars get released over the last few years, and now it looks like another talent could be on their way out of the company. Mustafa Ali recently took to Twitter to announce that he requested to be released from WWE when he posted the following message:
“I have a message that is much bigger than my dreams in pro wrestling. Despite my best efforts, I will not be able to deliver this message while working with WWE. Therefore, I am requesting my release from WWE.”

Mustafa Ali first joined WWE in 2016, and he went on to work in singles competition on the main roster and eventually became the leader of RETRIBUTION in 2020. Ali was teaming with Mansoor for a period of time last year, but they have since gone their separate ways and Ali has not been used in recent months.
At this point in time WWE has not confirmed Mustafa Ali’s release, and it’s not clear if the request will indeed be granted. Stay tuned for more updates on the situation as they become available.
