WWE is always looking for the next big thing, and recently there’s been a lot of hype surrounding Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson following his second NCAA National Championship win. It looks like Steveson could be riding that wave of momentum into the world of WWE as he’s expected to start making appearances soon.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Gable Steveson will be, “on the Raw brand as a regular very, very soon — and with a push.”
Steveson recently confirmed during an interview with Sports Illustrated that he will indeed be at WrestleMania 38 when he said, “I plan on going to WrestleMania. That’s the first time WWE fans will see me and what I’m about. I’m going to put my heart out there.”
One way or another it seems that Steveson will be positioned as a big deal on the main roster as it was also recently reported that the company expects him to be “another Brock Lesnar.” Stay tuned for more updates on Gable Steveson’s status as they become available.
