This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown featured two big title matches as Carmelo Hayes successfully defended his United States Championship against Johnny Gargano, and Chelsea Green dropped the WWE Women’s United States Championship to Giulia.
While Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae both appeared on SmackDown this week, Tommaso Ciampa was nowhere to be seen, and now it seems that he could be parting ways with the company altogether.
Bodyslam is reporting that sources have indicated Tommaso Ciampa’s contract with WWE is set to expire and he’s planning to finish up with the company without renewing his contract. It’s unclear at this point in time if Ciampa chose not to sign a new deal and is looking to work elsewhere, or if he is wanting to take time off without a deal.
Johnny Gargano last appeared on WWE programming when he teamed with Johnny Gargano to face Carmelo Hayes and Ilja Dragunov on the December 19th episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
