Monday Night Raw is a live show which means the Superstars of WWE don’t get to do a second take when they leave it all in the ring. This week on Raw, Austin Theory faced off against Mustafa Ali, and during the match there was a scary botch when Ali and Theory fell from the top rope when Ali went for a frankensteiner on Theory.
Fightful Select reports that the botch happened because Theory didn’t hold on to Ali. Originally the idea was for Theory to block the move and lift Ali up into a powerbomb. Ali was then supposed to counter the powerbomb and hit a hurricanrana.
It was noted that Ali then called for the referee to check on Theory and Ali then called an audible with a satellite DDT. Theory was said to be very apologetic about the slip up.
Following the botch there’s said to be no heat between Theory and Ali. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
