2019 was an interesting year for the WWE roster, as several Superstars publicly requested to be released from their contracts.
Eventually WWE did grant some of the aforementioned release requests, but Mike Kanellis remains under contract.
Mike Kanellis signed a new five year deal with WWE in 2019, and he publicly requested his release back in October. He hasn’t been used since, but he finally returned to action at the NXT live event in Melbourne, FL on Friday night.
Mike teamed up with Tony Nese at the event.
