Several former Impact Wrestling World Champions have gone on to find success in WWE, such as AJ Styles who is the current WWE Champion.
It looks like WWE officials have their eyes on yet another former Impact Champion, as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the company is interested in Eli Drake.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that even though Drake did work the recent TV tapings, and he’s still in talks with Impact, he hasn’t made a commitment to stay with the company.
Because he hasn’t made a commitment to stay, he’s not currently booked for the Slammiversary pay-per-view which is set to air in July.
PWInsider is reporting that WWE has filed two new trademarks for “WWE Vip” which could be a reference to the company’s VIP Experience which is available at selected live events.
Another possibility is that the trademark could reference a new television show, or a tiered system for the WWE Network which has been talked about for quite some time now.
