WWE Issues Statement In Response To LaMelo Ball Using Racial Slur On Raw

You just never know what’s going to happen when you watch WWE Monday Night Raw. This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw took place from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA, and WWE usually tries their best to get a few celebrities on the show whenever Raw is LA. This week Lavar, Lonzo and LaMelo Ball all made their way to the ring for Miz TV.

LaVar and LaMelo made their way to the ring first, and LaVar then introduced Lonzo Ball. All three men were given a live mic and they sat down with mannequins wearing Big Baller Brand shirts standing behind them. Miz then announced he was forming a partnership with BBB, and LaVar denied him telling him that he’s not who they had in mind.

The WWE Intercontinental Champion then talked trash to the Ball family and LaVar stood up to Miz then told LaMelo to stand up. Things just got all kinds of awkward, and after LaVar Ball took his shirt off, Dean Ambrose’s music hit as LaMelo Ball yelled “beat that n**** ass, beat that n**** ass.”

Using racial slurs on live television is frowned upon for obvious reasons, and WWE has issued the following statement to the Los Angeles Times clarifying that the line was not scripted and does not represent the views of the company.

“The inappropriate language used by a guest during the ‘Miz TV’ segment was not scripted nor reflects WWE’s values.”
