WWE Unreal finally debuted on Netflix this week and the show pulls the curtain back to give the world a better look at what goes on behind the scenes. The show revealed some interesting information such as how Jey Uso’s Royal Rumble win came together, and that a potential Kevin Owens WWE Championship win was pitched for Elimination Chamber.
Fightful Select is reporting that a number of things were “set up” in the show so to speak. A scene at the Royal Rumble was reportedly heavily influenced as the women’s locker room was asked to empty out and cheer for Charlotte Flair after she won the women’s Royal Rumble match. While they were asked to cheer for The Queen the talents weren’t told it was specifically for the Netflix show.
It was also noted that there were members of the women’s roster who speculated that the Tiffany Stratton/Charlotte Flair promo “derailment” was manufactured for Netflix. However, that has not been confirmed as it was just a theory among talent. No one involved with the segment ever made similar claims.
WWE sources are said to be especially happy with the buzz that WWE Unreal has received recently.
