There’s no denying that it’s been an exciting weekend for the stars of WWE as WrestleMania recently aired live from SoFi Stadium. The excitement is expected to continue throughout the week, but it looks like two WWE names could be on their way out.
Fightful Select is reporting that Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler, formerly known as the Gizzled Young Vets, have requested to be released from WWE. Recently they’ve been involved with Schism in NXT.
There’s currently no word on why they requested to be released from WWE, but it’s expected that the duo will be making some sort of announcement shortly. They’ve been with NXT for three years now. It’s expected that they will be in demand on the independent circuit in the United States as well as in the UK.
Their visa situation is unknown, but typically non-compete clauses are a factor with requested releases, and there would likely be a grace period where they would be able to work in the United States. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
