The WWE Crown Jewel pay-per-view aired live from Saudi Arabia on Thursday, and SmackDown is set to air live from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY today, but it looks like the WWE roster is dealing with some travel issues.
According to PWInsider, the scheduled charter flight which was supposed to bring talents back to the United States has been delayed for several hours due to fuel line problems, and other issues.
The report notes that WWE talents had been sitting on the plane for hours as they cleared customs going through Saudi Arabia, and they could not leave the plane without going through customs again.
WWE was able to rush out certain talents, but it hasn’t been confirmed which ones.
Brock Lesnar reportedly left Saudi Arabia on a private plane, and Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn, Drew Gulak, Elias, Matt Hardy, and The Miz did not travel to Saudi Arabia for the show.
It’s being said that the majority of the talents will not make the taping and are now booked in hotels in Riyadh.
WWE made arrangements to get talents who are “absolutely necessary” to the taping.
A lot of people in WWE are upset about the situation, going as far up the ladder as one can imagine.
