The last few days have been full of interesting events for wrestling fans to follow and now it seems that two WWE stars have parted ways with the company. Fightful Select recently reported that Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid requested to be released from WWE, and now the Wrestling Observer has confirmed that the release request has been granted.

Fowler & Reid were formerly known as the Grizzled Young Veterans and during their run with WWE they managed to capture the NXT UK Tag Team Championship once. Recently they’ve been featured on NXT programming as part of Schism.
Over the weekend Rip Fowler & Jagger Reid competed at NXT Stand & Deliver when Tyler Bate & Chase University defeated Schism on the pre-show. There’s currently no word on why they requested to be released from their contracts. Stay tuned for more updates on their release as they become available.
