If a wrestler is lucky they’re able to keep their name when they get called up to the WWE main roster, but sometimes things get switched up. Pete Dunne had an impressive run with NXT which led to him getting called up to SmackDown in 2022.
Dunne joined The Brawling Brutes when he got called up to SmackDown and he also took up the name Butch. Recently WWE has been teasing that Butch would be reverting to Pete Dunne and the change was made official on SmackDown this week.
For the first time since he got called up Butch appeared on SmackDown under the name Pete Dunne and he teamed with Tyler Bate to defeat the team of Pretty Deadly.
Pete Dunne reacted to the name change when he posted the following on social media:
Pete Dunne is not dead
