This week’s episode of NXT featured several title matches and the show kicked off in a big way. The Vanity Project defeated Darkstate to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions in the opening match, and Elio Lefleur went on to become the new WWE Speed Champion.
Later in the night Sol Ruca challenged Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship and Zaria accompanied Sol while Fatal Influence accompanied Jacy.
After the ring announcements were made Zaria turned on Sol Ruca before the bell rang when she hit her with a spear followed by a F5. Zaria then rolled out of the ring. Sol Ruca stood up and insisted that she could still go, so the referee rang the bell. As soon as the bell rang Jacy hit Sol Ruca with the Rolling Encore then pinned her to retain the NXT Women’s Championship.
Zaria proceeded to pull Sol Ruca out of the ring and she hit Sol with another F5 on top of the announce table before the show went to a commercial break.
