Big Show and Braun Strowman went to war inside a steel cage on WWE Raw last night, and it may be hard to believe after seeing Big Show pull off an incredible elbow drop from the top rope, but it is being reported that “The World’s Largest Athlete” is expected to take some much needed time off. Pro Wrestling Sheet’s Jame McKenna tweeted the following before the match between Strowman and Big Show last night.
Big Show’s beating at the hands of Strowman following their match last night could have been WWE’s way of writing the giant off WWE TV so that he can undergo much-needed hip surgery.
Despite obviously not being at one hundred percent on Raw last night, Big Show still managed to put on a fantastic match against the number one contender for the Universal Championship that even had the crowd chanting “This is Awesome!”
Big Show has been seen working so much harder lately and even recently managed to lose an incredible amount of weight ahead of a match against Shaquille O’Neil that sadly never happened. That being said, Big Show has stepped it up lately, but he has needed surgery for a while, so this will be a long road to recovery for the former World Champion at this point in his career.
The near 400-pounder will definitely want to return to WWE following the surgery, so this hopefully isn’t the last the WWE Universe has seen of The Big Show in a wrestling ring.
