Over the last few years fans have seen some interesting celebrities step into the squared circle and at WrestleMania 37, Bad Bunny teamed with Damian Priest to defeat The Miz & John Morrison in his debut match.
However, Priest’s friendship with Bad Bunny has fallen apart on screen and it was recently revealed that Bad Bunny and Damien Priest will face off in a street fight at the upcoming Backlash premium live event in Puerto Rico. Priest recently spoke to ElNuevoDia.com about the upcoming match and he hyped up how important it will be for his career.
“It is an honor. I know the importance of this fight, for the company, for Latinos, for me. When I fought in Puerto Rico (2021) it was special and I thought it was going to be one of the most important things in my career. Now in Backlash, it will be the most special moment in my career. The world will see us fighting in Puerto Rico. I never thought it was possible.”
It was recently reported that there’s been a push in WWE for Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest to main event the Backlash premium live event, so it will be interesting to see which match headlines the show.
