Every wrestler knows that a World Title win can drastically alter their career for the better, but not every wrestler can win the big one. The Money in the Bank briefcase has helped many WWE Superstars reach the next level and Dolph Ziggler was lucky enough to win the World Heavyweight Championship when he cashed in his contract.
Even though Dolph Ziggler is a two time WWE World Heavyweight Champion there are many who feel like the company never really pushed him, and Dolph has even said in the past that he was told he would be a transitional champion.
Recently Ziggler spoke to Sportskeeda about his Money in the Bank win, and he revealed that he was told he would never be World Heavyweight Champion.
“I wasn’t supposed to be World Heavyweight Champion, I was told I wouldn’t be World Heavyweight Champion. I was told ‘if you cash this [Money In The Bank contract) in, it’s just for the moment and we’ll see ya later’…but the crowds made that special moment.”
Since losing the World Heavyweight Championship Ziggler has found himself back in the title picture from time to time, but it doesn’t appear that the company has any plans to make him champion again. Do you think Dolph deserves another title reign? Sound off in the comments below.
