WWE Star Rules Out Possible Jump To Japan

They say that anything can happen in wrestling and last year Sasha Banks and Naomi shocked the world when they parted ways with WWE. Naomi has since gone on to work in Impact Wrestling as Trinity Fatu, and Sasha Banks resurfaced in NJPW earlier this year as Mercedes Mone.

Mercedes has had a successful run in Japan as she managed to win the IWGP Women’s Championship, and she’s also received the support of her friend Bayley. During a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, Bayley was asked if she could possibly make her way to Japan at some point and she indicated that it’s not going to happen.

“I think what she’s doing is incredible, but I don’t know if I’d be able to do it. That Japanese style is intense. I’m a little too old for that. She can go ahead and do all that. She’s braver than I am. She’s way more athletic than I am. So she can do all that stuff, and I’ll support her the whole time. If something were to happen and I was able to go experience different things like that, we’ll see. But right now, my body will say no.”

At this point it’s not clear if we’ll ever see Bayley and Mercedes in the same ring again as Bayley doesn’t seem keen on going to Japan, and there’s been no word on whether or not Mercedes could be interested returning to WWE. Either way it seems that Bayley is more than supportive of her friend Mercedes, so we’ll have to wait and see what the future holds.
