On Saturday night the NXT: Vengeance Day premium live event took place and Apollo Crews faced off against Carmelo Hayes. Hayes was able to take the lead by making Apollo Crews tap out to score the first decision.
Trick Williams got involved in the match, but Apollo Crews’ former bodyguard Commander Azeez made his way out to even the odds. Commander Azeez returned to NXT under his previous name Dabba Kato. Unfortunately for Crews the assistance wasn’t enough as Carmelo Hayes hit Nothing But Net to score the second decision in a clean sweep.
After the match Dabba Kato hugged Apollo Crews and it seemed that all was well between the two of them before things took a drastic turn. Kato hit Crews with a headbutt then hit him with a sit-out powerbomb on a steel chair.
It looks like Dabba Kato is back in NXT, and it seems that he’ll be feuding with Apollo Crews moving forward. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
