WWE Star Retired From In-Ring Competition?

As we all know WWE released quite a few wrestlers over the last few years and one of those names happened to be none other than Oney Lorcan. The former NXT Tag Team Champion was released from WWE back in 2021, but he returned to the company to work as a coach in October of 2022.

Oney Lorcan recently took to Twitter to say that he stepped away from in-ring competition, and he also thanked everyone he’s shared a ring with when he posted the following:

“In 2022, I stepped away from performing in the ring. I’m not sure if I’ve had my last match, but if I have, I had a blast. Thank you to anyone I got to share a ring with. Thank you to all the fans. I’m really looking forward to working with @WWENXT in 2023. Happy New Year!!!”

Whether or not Oney Lorcan is done for good remains to be as it’s certainly not uncommon for wrestlers to step away from the ring when they can on behind the scenes roles in wrestling. However, one can never say never as Jamie Noble recently returned to the ring for a match at a WWE live event, so anything can happen. Stay tuned for updates.
