The WWE roster is loaded with talent at the moment, but you never know when a current star could request to be released from their contract. NXT stars Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler recently confirmed that they requested to be released, and they also confirmed that their request had been denied by WWE.
Now it seems that rumors of Asuka requesting her release have been making the rounds as well. One fan took to Twitter to claim that Asuka had requested to be released from her WWE contract, and she responded directly to the rumor when she posted the following reply:
“Is this world full of lies?
Or is it full of s**t?”
Asuka managed to work her way into a major title match at WrestleMania this year when she challenged Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship. Unfortunately for Asuka she didn’t win the belt, and there’s currently no word on what’s next for her, but she is part of the draft pool for night 2 of the 2023 WWE Draft, so it will be interesting to see where she ends up.
