There are a number of WWE contracts that are set to expire in the months to come and everyone is waiting to see how things will play out. Recently it’s been reported that some offers have been made, but it seems that one name has decided to leave WWE.
PWInsider is reporting that multiple sources confirmed Ricochet gave his notice to WWE and let the company know that he will be leaving when his current deal expires this summer. It’s expected that Ricochet will be written out of WWE storylines very soon as the company prepares for his deal to expire.
One source who spoke on the subject noted that they were giving Ricochet, “all the credit in the world for betting on himself.” The expectation is that Ricochet will be a hot commodity when he becomes a free agent.
Ricochet first signed with WWE in 2018 and he went on to join the NXT brand. He went on to win the NXT North American Championship before he was called up to the main roster in 2019. During his time on the main roster Ricochet managed to win the WWE United States Championship, WWE Intercontinental Championship and WWE Speed Championship.
