WWE Star Removed From Official Roster

Over the last few days there’s been a lot of talk about Lacey Evans’ status as she seemingly teased a WWE departure when she changed her Instagram and Twitter handles. Yesterday she announced via Instagram that she would be known as Macey Estrella as of midnight, so it seems that she’s officially left Lacey Evans behind for good.

WWE has now confirmed the departure of Lacey Evans as she’s been moved from the current roster to the alumni section on the company’s official website.

So far details regarding Lacey’s WWE departure are unknown and it’s unclear if she requested to be released, or if this was simply a case of her contract expiring. One way or another it seems that Lacey Evans is now a free agent.

Lacey Evans first signed with WWE in 2016 and she was called up to the main roster in 2019. She went on to be featured in some high profile feuds with names like Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, but it was announced in early 2021 that she was pregnant and would be taking time off. Evans returned to TV last year, but the company has not been using her on a consistent basis. There’s currently no word on what her next move will be. Stay tuned for updates.
