A few months ago WWE introduced the WWE Women’s Speed Championship and a tournament is currently underway to determine who will go on to challenge Candice LeRae for the title.
Originally Zelina Vega was set to face off against Natalya in a quarterfinal match, but Vega was pulled from the tournament. Today WWE shared a video of the quarterfinal match which showed Natalya picking up a win over B-Fab to advance in the tournament.
During the match Corey Graves explained that B-Fab replaced Zelina Vega because Zelina was sidelined due to injury. Further details regarding Zelina Vega’s injury and how long she’s expected to be out of action were not revealed.
Zelina Vega last wrestled on the December 9th episode of Monday Night Raw when she faced off against Lyra Valkyria and Ivy Nile in a WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title tournament match.
