They say that anything can happen in the world of professional wrestling and this week’s episode of NXT gave fans plenty to talk about. The show went off the air with Ivar, Josh Briggs and Wes Lee laid out backstage and it was revealed that they were attacked by Gallus.
Following the attack from Gallus, WWE announced that Ivar is out of action indefinitely when the following was posted on social media:
“As a result of the heinous attack by #Gallus at the end of #WWENXT, @Ivar_WWE has suffered an injury and will be out of action indefinitely.”
WWE followed up by announcing that Tyler Bate will take Ivar’s place in the WWE Speed No. 1 Contender’s Tournament. Bate will face off against Apollo Crews in the semifinals.
Stay tuned for more updates on Ivar’s status as they become available.
