Fans have seen some interesting WWE departures over the last few years and now it seems that another former champion is officially done with World Wrestling Entertainment.
Fightful Select is reporting that Ricochet’s WWE contract expired at midnight on July 1st. WWE recently moved Ricochet’s profile to the alumni section on their official website.
Sources in both WWE and AEW expect Ricochet to make the jump to All Elite Wrestling. As of recent weeks there were no plans in place for Ricochet to face off against Will Ospreay at the All In pay-per-view at Wembley Stadium.
Weeks ago Ricochet was written off TV when he was attacked by Bron Breakker. That was his final appearance on WWE programming and it’s being reported that he was not at TV tapings in the weeks that followed. Samantha Irvin is expected to continue with WWE following Ricochet’s departure from the company.
Stay tuned for more updates on Ricochet’s status as they become available.
