There are several WWE stars who are currently sitting on the sidelines due to injury and one of them happens to be Tommaso Ciampa. The former NXT Champion had to undergo hip labrum surgery, and it doesn’t sound like he will be returning to WWE anytime soon.
PWInsider.com is reporting that Tommaso Ciampa is not expected to return to WWE programming until next year. Ciampa last competed in the ring when he faced Bobby Lashley at a WWE live event on September 17.
Tommaso Ciampa was one of the top stars in NXT for years and he was called up to the WWE main roster following WrestleMania 38. He had formed an alliance with The Miz and Ciampa was receiving a healthy amount of TV time prior to him taking time off, so it will be interesting to see how he’s booked when he returns.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
