It looks like a former WWE United States Champion is on their way out as it was recently reported that MVP’s contract is set to expire in mid-August and there have been no major discussions regarding a new deal. MVP’s recent social media activity seems to indicate that he will be leaving the company and he recently reflected on his four year run with WWE when he posted the following on Instagram:
“I came back so my baby boy could see “Daddy” in a WWE ring. “The Royal Rumble.” That’s all I wanted. A one off. I was ready to retire. Then, I received an offer to become a producer. The pandemic hit. I became a producer AND a commentator for Main Event. Next, they asked me to put the boots on and help out with TV during the “PC Era”. One episode of RAW, “MVP” was in NINE segments! Heyman agreed to put me and Roberto together. I signed a full time talent contract.
And then we made history.
What a ride!!!!”
Bobby Lashley’s deal is also set to expire soon and all signs point to Lashley leaving WWE unless a deal can be reached. There’s been talk of Bobby Lashley and MVP possibly reuniting The Hurt Business outside of WWE, and you can get more on that here.
