Money in the Bank is set to air live from London, England later today and several WWE stars will be competing in the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches. However, it seems that at least one name who’s currently set to compete in the women’s match could be getting replaced.
PWInsider is reporting that a creative pitch was made on Friday to have Charlotte Flair replace Zelina Vega and take her spot in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match. There’s currently no word on whether or not WWE will indeed move forward with the idea as no angle has been filmed to indicate that Zelina Vega will be pulled from the match.
Charlotte Flair was in action this week on Friday Night SmackDown when she challenged Asuka for the WWE Women’s Championship. Unfortunately for Charlotte she did not win the gold as Bianca Belair interfered causing the match to end in a disqualification.
One way or another it seems that Money in the Bank is shaping up to be a big show, so it will be interesting to see who ends up holding the Money in the Bank contracts once it’s all said and done. Stay tuned for updates.
