Throughout the course of his in-ring career John Cena has faced off against some of the biggest names in the business, but as we all know his career will be coming to an end sooner than later. Cena has announced that he will be retiring at the end of 2025 and a number of WWE stars have already stated that they’re hoping to get in the ring with him.
Bronson Reed has been making a name for himself on Monday Night Raw in recent months, and he recently explained to Chris Van Vliet why he thinks he would be the perfect fit for a match with John Cena.
“I said to a camera I’m a top guy now, that was after I did the 6 Tsunamis to Seth. That’s what I want for Bronson Reed, I want to be involved in that main event scene, the World Heavyweight Championship scene. I know Gunther is the champion, you have a heel champion so maybe that makes it a little bit more difficult. But I think there’s a lot of top names I haven’t worked with yet. When Seth comes back there’s a story between me and Seth.
I’d like to work with CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, and even John Cena when he’s back. I’m the perfect John Cena heel. You know, the matches he had with like Umaga and those guys, I’d be perfect against him. But whether that happens, I don’t know. That’s all just stuff I’d like to do. It’s up to WWE.”
