This week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown took place from Madison Square Garden and the show featured some big moments including the return of Edge. The Rated R Superstar appeared on the Grayson Waller Effect, and Edge surprised Grayson Waller when he told him that they would be facing off in a match later in the night.
Grayson Waller managed to hang with the Hall of Famer, but ultimately it was Edge who picked up the win. Earlier in the night Edge told Grayson Waller that it was time to sink or swim, and after the match he got on the mic and told Waller he swam.
Edge certainly isn’t the first big name that Grayson Waller has worked with since joining the main roster as he also brushed shoulders with John Cena at Money in the Bank.
The WRKD Wrestling account is reporting that Grayson Waller is being set up for a big future with WWE. It’s being said that many people in creative feel that he has the tools to be a future main eventer for years to come.
Following his loss to Edge it’s not clear where Grayson Waller will go from here, but it seems that the future is bright for the former NXT star.
