Rumors have been circulating for months about WWE possibly signing New Japan Pro Wrestling star Fergal “Prince” Devitt but now it is official. Confirmed by PWinsider.com, Prince has finally inked a deal with WWE.
Prince Devitt has been pro wrestling in Japan since 2006 and is one of the most decorated stars in NJPW. He’s won the Best of the Super Juniors tournament twice, a 6-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, and a 3-time IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion.
Devitt is expected to arrive in NXT within in the next 2 months as he awaits a US work visa.
He is an amazing talent, very good sign by WWE.
