WWE kicked off the year in style when they broadcast the first ever UK Championship Tournament on the WWE Network, it seems that was just a sign of things to come as the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the company could be set to sign up even more British stars.
The company has already revealed plans for more UK events in May, but it has also been reported that WWE will continue to sign up the bulk of the PROGRESS locker room.
Tyler Bate, Trent Seven and Pete Dunne are already signed to WWE and are former or current PROGRESS Champions, while the likes of Jimmy Havoc, Mark Haskins, Travis Banks and Dahlia Black are all names that the company is reportedly interested in.
Toni Storm and TK Cooper are also names that the company is hoping to sign to add to the names that were snapped up following the successful tournament back in January. These names have since appeared on NXT, but have yet to make an impact in the company since they signed a few months ago.
It seems as though the news of Impact Wrestling and World of Sport joining together to bring wrestling back to terrestrial TV in the UK has only given WWE even more determination to continue their takeover of wrestling on this side of the pond.
