The Women’s Revolution is in full swing, with the women on both SmackDown and Raw being given more opportunities to make history than ever before, and it seems that WWE is now set to give their women the chance to be part one of their biggest shows of the year.
The Royal Rumble has been an annual 30-man over-the-top-rope battle royale for more than 30 years, and whilst three women have been given the chance to take part, no woman has ever come close to winning the match.
According to a report from SportsKeeda it seems that WWE could be set to announce the first ever female Royal Rumble match for next year’s pay-per-view event in the near future.
Now would be the perfect time to have the first ever female version of the match, since WWE is currently signing up a number of women from the Mae Young Classic and there is now more female talent on all three WWE brands than ever before.
Many of the current women, including the likes of Charlotte and Sasha Banks, have talked about being given the opportunity to have their own Royal Rumble match, and it seems that WWE has finally listened. It will be interesting to see what the prize is for the winner of the match though since main eventing WrestleMania is already the prize that has been given to the male talent.
