WWE Set To Bring Back Popular Show?

Many die hard wrestling fans will remember watching WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event periodically between 1985 and 1992 before the show went on hiatus and some of the much younger fans will remember it’s more recent run from 2006 until 2008.

Saturday Night Main Event was always a show that was seen as much bigger than another WWE spin off, it had a pay-per-view feel to it and always gave out good standards of matches.

The show has been off the air now for almost a decade, but it seems that according to a tweet from Pro Wrestling Times, NBC is hoping to push for its old time slot at 11:30 on a Saturday night. But this could take some time to negotiate, which means that the show wouldn’t actually be ready to air until the spring of 2018.

It is unknown how this would fit into WWE’s schedule right now, with pay-per-views happening on a fortnightly basis. Although, WWE now has the biggest roster they have ever had, so they could easily use superstars who wouldn’t be on the pay-per-view events the following night.

It’s exciting that NBC is thinking of opportunities like this for WWE, and many cult wrestling fans will remember the show as one the beginning of one of the best era’s in wrestling, so it will be great to have it back.
