As we previously reported, Finn Balor returned to the ring last night and assisted Shinsuke Nakamura. During his time in the ring, he executed a sling blade and his stiff corner dropkick on Bobby Roode.
To throw a big bucket of water on the flames of our hopes that The Demon is ready, WWE reported on this event by informing the fans that Finn Balor still isn’t medically cleared to return to the ring.
So, it looks like they’re going to stick to their story for now. The fact is that it’s 2017 and there is most likely no way officials would allow Balor to return and do any kind of spot unless he was cleared.
One thing that we found very interesting is the fact that WWE’s official video of the events wasn’t as good as the video featured in the recap we did here.
The man himself commented on his appearance by simply remembering how amazing NXT fans are. Let’s just hope that he doesn’t get too homesick for developmental.
Fans only got a taste of Finn Balor on Raw and he needs to pick up with a ton of steam once he returns to television. Reports are that WrestleMania is pretty much already booked at this point so it might be the simple issue of creative not having anything for him to do.
But, we’ve been pleasantly surprised by WWE before.
