A few days ago on SmackDown Live Roman Reigns was getting ready for a backstage interview when some steel beams fell on him.
Earlier today WWE issued a statement saying that a preliminary investigation determined that the incident was caused by a forklift carrying lighting grids.
WWE has now posted two storyline updates, the first of which reads as follows:
“Update to story – 10:40 a.m. ET
It has now been determined that the incident in question was specifically caused by a forklift driver error.”
The second update notes that the forklift driver’s identity is unknown.
“Update to story – 12:10 p.m. ET
At this point, the identity of the forklift driver has not been determined.”
There’s no telling how long we may have to wait to find out the identity of Roman’s attacker, but it’s rumored that he could be facing Daniel Bryan at SummerSlam.
