This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw featured a face to face confrontation between Damage CTRL and Asuka, Alexa Bliss and Bianca Belair. The segment came to an end when Nikki Cross attacked the faces and aligned herself with Damage CTRL.
Later in the show Nikki Cross challenged Dana Brooke for the WWE 24/7 Championship and it was Cross who won the match and the gold. However, Nikki Cross was later seen walking with Damage CTRL backstage and she disposed of the championship by attempting to drop it in a trash can. Unfortunately Nikki missed the trash can and dropped the belt on the floor, but either way it seems that Cross is not interested in carrying the 24/7 Championship moving forward.
Dana Brooke reacted Nikki Cross throwing the belt in the trash when she posted the following on Twitter:
“Everything I have worked for & tried to elevate… LITERALLY IN THE TRASH! #wwe @WWE @USA_Network”
The 24/7 Championship hasn’t been featured on WWE programming nearly as much since Triple H took over WWE creative back in July and it’s been rumored that WWE could be doing away with the belt altogether. Stay tuned for more updates on the 24/7 Championship as they become available.
