The WWE Backlash premium live event has come and gone and the show featured a number of big matches. A few weeks before the show WWE announced Omos vs. Seth Rollins which got quite the reaction from the wrestling community when it was announced as there was no storyline established between the two stars prior to the match being added to the card.
However, Seth Rollins and Omos both did their best to deliver on Saturday night and Rollins was the one who put Omos away after he stomped his opponent and pinned him for the three count.
PWInsider Elite is reporting that people in WWE were very happy with Omos’ performance at the Backlash premium live event on Saturday. The feeling is that his match with Seth Rollins was one of the best major matches Omos has had so far.
Seth Rollins picked up a decisive victory over Omos at Backlash in Puerto Rico, and now he’s set to compete in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship tournament which is kicking off tonight on Raw. As for Omos, it’s not clear where he will go from here, or what his next big match could be.
