This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off week one of Fyter Fest, and during the episode Taz made his way to the ring with Brian Cage to send a message to Jon Moxley.
Originally Jon Moxley was set to defend his AEW World Championship against Brian Cage at Fyter Fest, but it was announced this week that the match has been pushed back to Fight For The Fallen on July 15.
Moxley has been in isolation after finding out his wife Renee Young tested positive for COVID-19.
During his promo Taz addressed COVID-19 tests when he said, “If you decide to get your ass here to work next week, you would get tested again here in AEW. Because Jon, as you know we don’t run a sloppy shop.”
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that people in WWE were upset about the “sloppy shop” line from Taz’s promo.
As previously reported, several WWE employees such as Renee Young, Kayla Braxton, Adam Pearce and more recently tested positive for COVID-19.
