Ever since October of 2019 AEW and NXT have been going head to head on Wednesday nights, and AEW has been lucky enough to come out ahead in the ratings most weeks.
This week AEW Dynamite came out ahead once again with 901,000 viewers while NXT managed to draw 753,000 viewers.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that although no one will say it, there’s a lot of unhappiness in WWE over AEW beating NXT in the ratings.
It’s also worth noting that this week AEW drew a .36 in the 18-49 demo, while NXT drew a .20 in the same demographic.
Three people were moved from the regular writing team to the NXT writing team back in September.
NXT has had three writers since moving to USA Network, and now the writing team has been upped to five.
