For a long time Madison Square Garden has been thought of as WWE’s home, but over the last few years the company has been bringing most of their New York City based events to the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
It was recently reported that Madison Square Garden officials are unhappy with the way their working relationship with WWE has been going, and that they’re more open than ever in regards to working with other wrestling companies.
AAA is reportedly trying to secure a date at the venue in September, and Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc. CEO Chris Ripley recently claimed that ROH will be holding at event at Madison Square Garden next year.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that there’s a lot going on behind the scenes, and that WWE is doing everything possible to block the ROH event.
It’s being said that a behind the scenes game is taking place, and even though it’s too early to tell how it will all turn out, it’s possible that WWE will succeed in blocking the event.
