WWE recently reshuffled the deck with the 2020 WWE Draft, and now fans can hopefully look forward to some fresh storylines in the weeks and months to come.
Lana didn’t switch brands, but her tag team with Natalya recently came to an end, and shortly after Lana became the number one contender for the Raw Women’s Championship when she won a battle royal.
Even though Lana has earned a title shot, she’s had a rough run over the last few weeks as Nia Jax has put her through a table several times.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the company belief is that the last episode of Raw turned Lana babyface because she was put through a table and came back to win the battle royal.
It was noted that the term “massive babyface” was used internally for Lana.
In the past Lana has been pushed into the title scene, but she has yet to capture championship gold. So, it will be interesting to see where she goes from here.
