In April WWE announced coronavirus related budget cuts, and the company then followed up by releasing a number of talents from NXT and WWE.
It looks like fans could potentially see some names return, as Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Live that WWE officials have tried to sign some of the talents who were released.
However, it’s being said that they are trying to re-sign the talents to contracts that would see them make a fraction of the money they were making before.
It’s being said that the renewal offers are low enough to the point that talents could make more money with other promotions.
There’s currently no word on who the company is trying to re-sign, but Alvarez noted that he has reason to believe Drake Maverick may have already been signed to a new deal.
