Joey Ryan has made a name for himself on the independent scene, but he recently took to Twitter to announce that he’s saying farewell to the indies soon.
I guess the word is out now. Am I signing somewhere? Have I already signed elsewhere? One thing is certain; my time on the indies is coming to an end so pick up this “Farewell” tour shirt at https://t.co/suQhuyoTFj for a limited time only! Get em before I’m gone! #RAW pic.twitter.com/xH20IoKJGV

It was recently reported that WWE showed interest in Joey Ryan, and as we can see in the tweet above, Ryan is teasing that he may have signed a deal with a pro wrestling company.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the offer WWE made Joey Ryan was “nothing special” and that the company just wants to sign him to essentially take him off the board so he can’t sign with AEW. It’s being said that WWE didn’t really show any interest in Joey Ryan in the past, and the company only wants to sign him so they can “ice” him.
Ryan has been heavily featured on Being The Elite, and it was noted that he wouldn’t be featured on the show if AEW didn’t have plans for him.
