WWE Reportedly Taking Over Twitch Accounts For Talents Soon

It was reported a few weeks ago that Vince McMahon issued an edict stating that WWE talents can no longer use third-party services such as Twitch.

Later it was clarified that WWE talents could use their Twitch and YouTube accounts under their real names, but that they would need to inform the company of said accounts.

Wrestling Inc. is now reporting that Vince McMahon sent an email to talents earlier this week reminding them that they have until Friday, October 2 to end any third-party business deals that are not authorized by the company. Talents who fail to comply could be fined, suspended or terminated.

It’s also being reported that talents were told WWE will be taking control of their Twitch accounts in four weeks. WWE will own the accounts with talents receiving a percentage of the revenue. The revenue percentage earned by talents will count against their downside guarantees.

Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
