John Cena made his WWE debut 23 years ago and this weekend his in-ring career will officially come to an end. The former WWE Champion will be facing off against Gunther in his last match ever at Saturday Night’s Main Event which is shaping up to be a big show.
PWInsider is reporting that WWE is working on some surprises for Saturday Night’s Main Event this weekend. At this point it’s unclear what those surprises might be, but it’s also being reported that CM Punk is expected to be at the event.
In recent months people from all over the wrestling community have been paying tribute to John Cena in their own way. However, Cena has made it clear that he doesn’t want his last show to be all about him, which is why he pitched the idea of featuring NXT talent on the show as well. Oba Femi, Sol Ruca, Je’Von Evans and TNA Wrestling’s Leon Slater will all be in action at Saturday Night’s Main Event, so it’s sure to be an exciting night.
