They say that anything can happen when you watch WWE programming, and you never know when a top superstar could return to the company.
Roman Reigns had been off TV since March due to concerns stemming from the coronavirus pandemic, but last Sunday at SummerSlam he made his surprise return after the Universal Championship match.
The Big Dog made his presence felt by attacking both Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman, and it seems that we’ll be seeing a different Roman Reigns than what fans are used to in the weeks to come.
PWInsider is now reporting that WWE’s plan is to push Roman Reigns at the top heel on the SmackDown brand moving forward.
On the latest episode of Friday Night SmackDown it was revealed that Roman has aligned himself with Paul Heyman, so it will be interesting to see how that comes into play.
Reigns will have his chance to win the Universal Championship when he faces Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman in a No Holds Barred triple threat match at Payback.
