It’s almost time for WrestleMania 40 to air live from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadephia, Pennsylvania and the Showcase of the Immortals will once again be a two night event this year. Both nights are loaded with big matches, but it sounds like a few of them are set to go long.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the current plan is to do four long matches on night one of WrestleMania. Rhea Ripley vs. Becky Lynch, the ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship, Sami Zayn vs. Gunther and Rock & Roman Reigns vs. Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins are all planned to go long.
It was also noted that the main event tag match with Rock & Reigns vs. Cody & Seth is expected to be filled with bells and whistles and a long story. It’s likely that all four matches will be very different from one another.
WrestleMania 40 will air live on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7. Stay tuned for more updates on the WrestleMania 40 card as they become available.
