The wrestling world has certainly changed as there are numerous companies working together, and many people have wondered if WWE could become more open to the idea of working with other companies.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE doesn’t like the reputation that they don’t work with anyone else in the wrestling world.
The company is reportedly in talks with MLW for something along the lines of the old deal they had with Evolve, or something similar to the deal they had with ECW in the 90s.
The idea is to get work for NXT talents who aren’t being used on TV. There’s also talk of the company creating an Evolve like group with a weekly streaming show. The idea is alleviate frustration for talents who sign with the company and then don’t get used.
Recently fans have seen companies like AEW, Impact and NJPW work together, and it’s being said that WWE wants to make it look like they’re not set in their old ways. Whether or not the company will actually move forward with these ideas remains to be seen, but it’s being said that it’s a totally new WWE under Nick Khan.
